Last Minute Quick Trip to Coronado

Craig and I decided that we needed to get away for the weekend.  We had originally planned on Coronado, changed our minds, agreed on going to Las Vegas, then decided at the last minute that Coronado would be our destination instead.  

Kai was THRILLED at the news that we were going to the beach!

Our Side Table Before and After Makeover/ Hallway

I decided to get a little creative with our boring, black side table.  I painted it a cottage white, and gave it a pop of color with a red, floral knob from Anthropologie. These are the before and after photographs.

The Provence bench is from World Market (available, here, on sale now- as of 9/3/12)
*Note: the Provence bench does not have much support in the middle. My husband, Craig, had to add a 2x6 custom-fit board beneath it. 

Fun knobs I got from Anthropologie! I decided on the red, floral knob for this side table makeover.

Kai's First Vacuum!

Kai, 3 yrs 4 mos old

Kai is fascinated with vacuum cleaners, so imagine how excited he was to get his very own Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner from Toys R' Us!  Kai "vacuumed" to his heart's delight for about 15 minutes!  Someday- hopefully, soon- he's going to be helping Mommy and Daddy clean around the house! =-)
